Today, whilst wondering around town, I decided to go into the Vodafone shop (Vodafone is the network I’m on) & ask them when they would be getting any Windows Phone 7 devices in.
They told me that it just so happened that they had a WP7 representative in-store just earlier today, showing them about it. The guy I talked to said that when someone comes in to show them a phone like that, they tend to get the phone/s arriving within a month, which in this case coincides with the rumored October release date of WP7.
I then also went into an Orange & a T-Mobile store.
Orange said they were getting in some devices next
month & had seen the same representative earlier,
but T-Mobile hadn’t heard anything.
No one seemed to know anything specific about which devices would be appearing,
but one guy did mention that something to do with Acer. Ive not heard anything about any Acer WP7 devices yet, but it looks like they are still in the game!
October cant come too soon.
Plus it’s my birthday on the 18th… ;)

I was tempted to do something like this myself, but glad someone did it – I’m hoping an official launch date will be confirmed but October for UK and Europe seems 100% certain now for launch – just need confirmation from Microsoft.
How does speaking to some sales doozies qualify as “confirmation”.

Its good enough in my eyes.
If the sales assistants (not all of which are as incompetent as people make out) say they will be out next month, thats good enough for me. Plus the visit from MS Reps kinda speaks for itself.
sounds just about right with the other rumors we have heard. Since multiple store confirmed the same thing its much more believable .
