WM Fanboi
I just saw this image over @ Mobile Spoon , I strongly disagree with this Fanboi outlook , iphone is a great phone and though it has some major limitations over WM. I still think its great device and look @ the changes it has forced on to the mobile world. App Store, push towards multi touch, Finger Friendly UI and so on. What do you guys think ? Do you hate iPhone with a passion ?

Why hate it? It’s just over-advertised media player with phone function and a lot of hype.
While I’m not a huge fan of the iPhone (it doesn’t meet my needs), I’m extremely grateful for the impact it had on the industry as a whole, much in the same way that the iPod did in the mp3 player world.
From finger-friendliness to intuitive user interfaces, the iPhone made all WM manufacturers wake up. Anyone enjoying the benefits of a WM phone post-iPhone probably has Apple to thank. Like them or hate them, they know how to make some intuitive, mass-appealing, very inviting kit!
The iphone itself is neat. It gets many things right that Microsoft should have done ages ago, A good UI, An Appstore….and that’s about it. The thing that ticks me off the most is that EVERYONE makes some goofy app for the iphone and not any others.
That list is missing stereo bluetooth support =P
To be sure, the iPhone did bring a few new innovation features to phones, namely the UI – which was far easier to use then the factory WM UI. However, let’s be honest. The ONLY reason the iPhone was a commercial success was because it was riding on the large fan base of the iPod. Practically every time someone showed it off to me, it was always “Look, I can store all my music on my phone!” or “Look, these are my photos!”. Yes, to most of the n00bs in the world, these were considered “new and innovative” features. Nevermind the fact that cell phones have had these abilities for years.
Let’s imagine that the iPhone never existed and instead it was marketed and released as a WM device. Would it have gained commercial success? I think not. While it’s new features would have been lauded, the missing features would have been seen as unforgivable by many.
