Today we have news about more trouble brewing up in Nokia land. Some speculations on Windows Phone 8. Is the Nokia PureView going to be launched in Us today ? Howdy fellas , Today on 18/06/2012 we have the following news item for you guys :
One of the top player in the mobile space, Nokia did suffer quite a bit of loss in terms of marketshare with the new smartphone platforms like iOs and Android. With their strategic partnership with Microsoft’s Windows Phone things are looking sorta positive for the Finnish OEM but they did have to make sacrifices along the way. The latest one recently announced involves a reshuffling of the Nokia Leadership Team and plans to shut down Research & Development facilities in Canada and Germany along with a manufacturing plant in Finland. This would roughly equate to 10,000 people losing their jobs by the end of 2013. This news has led soem people to say Nokia Firing People a play of words on the iconic Nokia Phrase Connecting People. Nokia’s Facebook Tease announcement for 18/06/2012 is supposedly for the US launch of the PureView range .. which you know as the 41-Megapixel Phone that takes some really awesome pictures. So the hopes for a Nokia Windows 8 Tablet, we got to put that on hold … at least for now. You can read all about it on allthingsd
Our friends over at plaffo has put together some nice Windows Phone 8 concepts images. If the 1280×720 resolution comes to WP8 then we would see how this 3 column layout of tiles would fit on our beloved OS. Nick Ross from abc.net.au has thrown up an article about Windows Mobile 7 platform.. yes he calls it Windows Mobile 7 and the article is titled Review: HTC Titan II 4G, Nokia Lumia 900 and the state of Windows Mobile. If the title does not give you an indication on the amount of research that has gone in to it , this bold statement might ” Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nokia suck-it-up and embrace Android in the near(ish) future. HTC seems to be rivalling it in the WP7 space without even trying. ” !!!! Really Mr Ross ?
