Microsoft has to stand against Android and iOS in the mobile OS “war”.

Until now, it was a fight between Google´s Android and Apple´s iOS (at least by the numbers). Both OSes have a much higher number of users as well as a much higher number of apps.

When it comes to user satisfaction, the readers of pcmag.com voted a bit different. iOS and Windows Phone have both a rate of 8.7 on a scale from 0 to 10. Android only has 7.9 and leads “the others”. Windows Phone was able to improve their result at an amount from 0,6 points, which is a great step forward.

The over all satisfaction rate may be the same, but Windows Phone beat iOS in several important key areas: reliability, text messaging, Web browsing and gaming.

While Windows Phone is receiving some good results in this survey, the OS has still a long way to go for to manifest ist place as third mobile ecosystem.
