Microsoft has been pushing Windows Phone 7 in any way they can, I am still upset they didn’t try to air an ad during Super Bowl, but they have been steadily pushing WP7 through various media and social channels, including various TV shows. Today we look at some of the TV show and superheros who seem to love Windows Phone 7 ;)
A Lumia 900 was used in the season finale of Touch, Fox’s new show with Kiefer Sutherland. You can see one of the actors pull up the Cyan Lumia 900 along with a bunch of other phones from under his bed. Then walks off and takes pictues with the camera ( with out any purple hue ). You can also see AT&T AirGraffiti being used .. Its an concept app that allows users to “…leave videos, photos and songs “in the air” at physical addresses for friends or others to retrieve when they visit that location”. So I would expect some one will come down to that location in Season 2 to find out what was left there.
Smallville – is an television series revolving around the teenage years of Superman and how Clark Kent becomes SuperMan. The series was know to carry Product placement for Windows Mobile so its no surprise WP7 will often make itself visible in this series. Check out some video time that WP7 got in the hands of Lois Lane in this video
Chase – Chase is a police procedural drama television series which follows a U.S. Marshals fugitive-apprehension team, based out of Houston, Texas. Chase revolves around Annie Frost, a deputy U.S. Marshal, and her high-priority fugitive-apprehension team that track down dangerous criminals in South Texas.
Human Target – Human Target is an action drama television series based loosely on the Human Target comic book character on DC Comics. The series follows the life of San Francisco-based Christopher Chance , a unique private contractor, bodyguard and security expert hired to protect his clients. Rather than taking on the target’s identity himself , he protects his clients by completely integrating himself into their lives, to become a “human target”. Check out the Video ( can’t embed )
Hawaii Five-O – Hawaii Five-0 is an police procedural drama television series, it follows an elite state police unit/task force set up to fight crime in the state of Hawaii. In one episode we see the camera features and image sharing features on WP7 shown off to the viewers.
I love Windows Phone 7 and Bing is … ok as a search engine , but Bing it seriously ? who speaks like that ? Here we see Bing in action on Windows Phone 7 in another Hawaii Five-O episode.
The Rachel Zoe Project – is an reality docudrama series starring celebrity stylist, Rachel Zoe, and her styling assistants, Taylor Jacobson and Brad Goreski. Here we see the Maps app on Windows Phone 7 in action.
Castle – Castle is an comedy-drama television series. Castle follows Richard Castle, a famous mystery novelist who has killed off his main character in his book series and has writer’s block. He is called in to help Detective Kate Beckett from the NYPD to solve a copy-cat murder based on one of his novels. Castle, who becomes interested in Beckett as a potential character for a new book series, uses his connections at the mayor’s office and receives permission to continue accompanying Beckett while investigating cases. Here we see The TellMe speech engine in action on Windows Phone 7.
