Graphic.ly WP7
We have see the Graphic.ly comic book reader for WP7 a couple of times and now the app was demoed on youtube on developers device. The app takes a social approach to comic books and when you log in you get the dashboard with the latest comic books available via Graphic.ly ( btw you can get the desktop app from the site ) and the activity stream which will show you what your mates are rambling about. Using the panorama controls its breeze to switch over to your collection or to browse through the in app comic book store from where you can easily buy the comic books you love. The app also showcases the free comic books that are available for those who love freebies ( which includes me, gotta love free stuff .. ;) )
Clicking on a comic book cover in the store will bring up more info on the comic book which includes the standard description along with in info about the Cover Artist and author behind the story. They have also implemented a customer rating system that allows users to rate a comic on 4 criteria : Enjoyment , Story, Cover and Art. Once you download the comic the app will render the comic in landscape mode ( we are not sure if portrait mode is supported ) and the basic functions that you expect from a comic book app like pinch to zoom and easy page flipping works quite nicely. For social beings there is also an option to launch user comments on the individual pages of the comic. via Facebook
