That's bullcrap. Am I the only person who has tried the Microsoft Facebook 'app'?

I am and have been an avid WM user, but when I see Microsoft trying to lure in unsuspecting new customers like this I get very cross. Compare this to Facebook on other platforms and you see what I mean… WM does have its strong points, but they are definitely not the fun things like Facebook and Twitter that these new ads are showing.

I agree about facebook. But there are some rather nice twitter apps on WM like the moTweets app.

True, moTweets is nice but I figured MS was advertising their own thing.

I would love to see the look on the face of the poor sap who sees these commercials and then buys a WM thinking they will get similar Facebook or Twitter experiences out of the box as say on iPhone or Android – that would be the look of utter, utter disappointment.

I get what you are trying to say. Facebook and Twitter is definitely not there as an out of the box experience ( Except maybe in HTC , which has a twitter client for new devices like HD2 ).

I am not sure about Android but iPhone does not have a twitter / facebook client. Unless installed from the appStore .

I am glad to see MS putting in the extra effort to promote Windows Mobille :)

Awful ads, stupid apps, Facebook and Twitter client should be optional CAB applications because WM should not target the gizmos wanting the latest version of twitter, facebook, msn, flicker, yammer and all stupid stuff like this. WM should target business people.
