A title like ” Quasi-officially confirmed by Microsoft: Windows Mobile 7 gets multi-touch, 6.5 is for cheapskates ” would grab the attention of any Windows Mobile user. One of our favorite WM news site MSMobiles is reporting that multi-touch is coming to Windows Mobile 7. Its not fully confirmed yet but it does look like if Microsoft does not take Windows Mobile seriously the other new players Android, iPhone will run away and win the smartphone race.
According to electronista.com ” multi-touch will be a core feature of Windows Mobile 7 and that many of the experiences of competing phones will be “knocked in the different realm” of Microsoft’s new platform. ” thats exciting news. They also claim that WM7 and WM6.5 will coexist. While WM6.5 will focus on the low end market, WM7 will be aimed @ the high end market.
What do you think Is Multi Touch as important as they say ? The only multi touch I use on the iPhone is the pinch zoom gesture..

Glad to hear this, it finally looks like Microsoft is waking up. As for multi touch, I see it has more future in gaming. I really sucks to see actually good control schemes only on the iphone.
