We came across a few twitter post mentioning a ” Tech Days Dev Special Event on 5 Oct with Steve Ballmer ” and many think its going to be WP7 announcement. We all have heard rumors about WP7 hitting Europe in October but we think its more likely towards the end of October.
Here is the Twitter message that started it all : @uktechdays

So here is what we did : First we saw the link and clicked on it http://bit.ly/93TR1u ( I am a stats junkie and I checked the stats for that link too http://bit.ly/93TR1u+, just add a plus at the end of the link .. bet at least some of you didnt know that .. now try it with http://www.youtube.com+.. )
Back to the mail url , we need an invite code , go back to the twitter post and grab it ” 6D4723 ” paste it in.
The title Reads ” UK TechDays Special: The Future of Cloud Development ” [ Reason 1 ]
To who created that post .. they dont call it Windows Mobile any more …
[ Reason 2 ] WP7 is a huge project for Microsoft, they would not want to hold a low key launch event for it… with just a twitter message about it, when they are ready to announce it they would want the whole world to know about it and expect something huge. ( They have around $400 million to spend so I expect something like the Kinect launch party )..
[ Reason 3 ] In the description they mention
Covering Windows Azure, Windows 7 and the soon-to-be-released Windows Phone 7 and IE9, we’ll show you how multiple screens and a cloud will change the way you think about development.
So expect WP7 to be shown off at the event and they might even show off some new feature related to the Cloud ( which will be the main focus of this event ) but it wont be the Launch event for WP7.
Microsoft is a huge company and WP7 is not their only product so stop guessing that every event will be about WP7 launch, that said Microsoft plz put us out of our misery and launch WP7 already haven’t you teased us enough ? What do you guys think ? Anyone agree with us ?
Update : One of our Twitter Friend @adamzea says it could be MyPhone for WP7 , that makes sense especially since its all about the cloud integration.
