What is a WinPhan7?

Hello, howdy, and how do you do?  I am going to be joining this incredibly talented staff of writers and I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Sean Johnson, but I prefer WinPhan7. I reside in the US in beautiful Northern California. I am 38 years of age and gaining stride in life. I’m a loving husband, proud father of 4, and I’m sarcastic. I enjoy technology, writing, and well most importantly, I LOVE MY Windows Phone! Nothing comes before my family though. I am a hard worker, most of my time is spent in the woods. Although there is rarely a moment indoors or outside that my trusty WP isn’t in my hand or holdstered to my side!

I received the name WinPhan7 by the community I blogged in previously, which was predominantly Android based.  I am a true fanboy of WP and for lack of a better title, was named a WinPhan7.There are Fandroids and iFans, they don’t compare! I am a WinPhan7. I tweeted that to Ben the PC Guy last night. He retweeted it and so did some others, so I know I’m not the only one. I love WP so much that all the members in my home are happy WP users. My wife and I have the HTC Titan, my daughter the Samsung Focus S, and my son has the HTC 7 Pro.

WP is an incredible OS to me, bringing so much to so many. It doesn’t matter your age, occupation, or interest, there is something for everyone. For me it’s the ability to communicate with my many contacts quickly and with ease. I spend a lot of writing and searching news leads, most of which is done from my Titan. Its ability to coordinate all my writings to Skydrive is a dream come true. No matter where I am all my work, music, and documents are at my fingertips! I love how I can have my Live Tiles give me news before it’s news. Again, just awesome. The platform’s ability to handle so many tasks at once, and not slow down or freeze is what seperates this beautiful OS from the competitors in my opinion. Day after day of dealing with Android users were stories of freezes and battery pulls, thats just not for me!

I have spent a great deal of time trying to convince Android and iPhone owners to make the switch and I’m worn down. Now I would like to use that same energy to help the exisiting WP community. I look forward to serving the WP community with accurate and timely news, reviews, social and economic commentary’s regarding WP, and much more. I encourage all you who love your WP and want a way to say it, to call yourselves WinPhan7′s. We as enthusiastic owners, good, bad, or indifferent have a greater responsibility to help Microsoft market the WP. Keep showing off your WP, keep talking about the OS, and keep posting to sites and sending feedback to Microsoft. All these efforts will and are paying off! I’m a WinPhan7! Are you?
