Game Troopers Announces the Availability of What in the World? for Windows Phone

What in the World, Games on Windows, freeware downloadables on phones

Game Troopers just keeps the hits flowing to Windows Phone. and Windows PCs and tablets. Following the launch of Overkill 3 on Windows 8.1 and 10 last week, the developer has now released What in the World? for Windows Phone 8.1.

What in the World? is a puzzle / trivia game that was first rumored to be coming for WP late last month, and today’s announcement brings the game to the Windows Phone for the first time complete with Xbox Live features and Cortana integration.

What in the World? is originally developed by Plunge Interactive and tasks you with guessing the word represented by a handmade image of one of the five available categories: TV & Movies, Characters, Celebrities, Cities & Countries, and Brands.

Features of the game include:

  • Compete with your friends.
  • Get extra hints for correct answers
  • Share your scores with your friends through Facebook
  • Advance through levels as your skills improve

“This game is the product of our will to cover a whole range of genres and audiences,” Game Troopers CEO Jesus Bosch said of the release. “It is our first word game, and it won’t be the last one. We are really excited about what the reception for this game is going to be. We are including native features such as Cortana integration and Live Tiles.”

Game Troopers also says that “dozens of new quiz items” will be  “coming soon” to the Windows Phone platform, and we’ll be sure to let everyone know when the update launches here on 1800PPC. In the meantime, you can download What in the World? for Windows Phone via the QR code in this article.
