Lock Widgets 2.5 : battery and weather widget on windows phone lockscreen [ HomeBrew ]

The folks at windowsphonehacker has started to work on a cool new project that will allow users to add widgets to the lockscreen on windows phone. Here is what they had to say about it

Above is a snapshot of the app. We’re not sure what we’re calling it, but probably something like “lock widgets” or the like. What it does is allows data to be updated on the lock screen, for example, weather. This could also be RSS feeds, images, etc. One idea was to change the background dynamically to fit the Bing background of the day automatically. If there’s interest for it, let us know in the comments, and be sure to give some ideas on what it could be used for.

WindowsPhoneHacker has given us so many great customization options like folders on the home screen, orientation lock, etc and this will also be a welcome addition to the homebrew windows phone community.

Currently the app is said to be built for fully unlocked devices so chevron , dev unlocked devices will not be able to run this homebrew app, its still in the planning phase and jaxbot plans to start working on it if there is enough user interest in this project. As for me its a Hell Yeah .. bring it on ( but plz make it such that it works on interop unlock , full unlock is something I have not dived into yet)
