Is it just me or is the guy in this clip pushing really hard on the Samsung?
Can't believe he tries to sell the basis Today screen as better than the Android home screens! You MIGHT if you were a hardcore WM user go with an HD2 over the Nexus, but even then I think it would be at least in part because you can find the HD2 cheaper (in the UK at least). No-one in their right mind is choosing an Omnia 2 over the Nexus (or HD2, or iPhone, or Pre, or Bold…)
Agree with you on the Omnia 2 or Iphone but not on the HD2. I have the HD2 and can tell you first hand IMHO it is a better phone than the Nexus. Screen is larger as well which is a bonus for me. I had the Nexus in my hands the other day and it just felt somehow “incomplete” and lightweight to me.
It was a nice phone though, just not as good as my HD2 :)
Glad to hear the HD2 is as good as it looks (got my TD2 few months before the HD2 was available and a bigger screen would be very welcome). But I think the bonus over the Nexus is hardware only – the HD2 is probably one of the best handsets around, but I don't think you're really getting the best out of it until WM7 comes along.
Agreed, I have had a number of phones recently including the Toshiba TG01 which I hated. The HD2 with its Sense 2.5 interface and HTC custom written apps are such a pleasure and breathe new life into Windows Mobile.
Am very much looking forward to WM7 though, I am sure it'll be a huge success.
How are you finding your TD2?
Not bad thanks…chose it partly because it was promised a WM6.5 update and that has improved things, partly because I got sick of the Sense UI and have gone back to the Titanium Panels. Bigger screen and quicker processor and I'd be very happy (ie turn it into the HD2!).
