Urban Dictionary 7 : Sup with the whack Playstation, ‘sup? Huh?

How many times have you come across something on the web that makes no sense to you or perhaps in a movie you hear someone referring to something called ‘ july fry ’ and you sit there and wonder what the frack it is ? Trust me every one has those moments and from now on you will know exactly what to do when you find yourself in one of those situation. Meet UrbanDictionary.com , it’s an online dictionary, but instead of official words it gives you definitions of modern slang and jargons. It’s a community edited site so don’t believe everything you read :) Now there is an unofficial Urban Dictionary app for Windows Phone app called Urban Dictionary 7.

The app is very metro’ey , and you get the word of the day when you launch the app ( the live tile does offer the user the option to display this on the tile ) you get share this word via email, facebook and chat, you also have the option to pin this word to your favorite. The other tabs include a random tab which you can refresh to see new random words. Next up is the search tab which keeps record of all your previous search ( there is an option to clear the history if you want to wipe-out all the previous search data ). The app also comes with a picture browser , so if you find an image with the word that you search with you can also pin that image for future use. The other tabs offered by the app include popular term, this year and favorite.

The app offers some customization options for the live tile from the settings page and you can also enable unfiltered content from here , which is off by default ( if you do turn in off I would advise caution while pinning it to the start screen , there is no telling what word will come up as the word of the day .. see the video and that is one of the good word) . One great thing with the app is that it allows users to vote for the next feature via a poll. The devs puts up a poll and users are asked to vote for the feature that they think should be included in the next update, from the looks of things one would expect the ability to customize the panorama will be the next major feature for the app. The app comes in free ( ad supported ) or an ad free paid version, it looks like there is no other feature limitation for the free version .

There is a free and paid version available and the full version is available for $1.99, I think the full version just cuts out the ads from the free version.
