TransparenTxt : TXT'N'WALK like app for Windows Phone

For me the speech to text ( in Mango ) works great and I often find myself using it. TransparenTxt is a new windows phone app that lets you see where you are going while you are busy texting your mates. Personally I will never need this but I love the idea behind the app, mind you it’s not a new concept there are apps on the iPhone and Android that does this and now we windows phone users can walk n text too .. yay :) and I have witnessed people walking in to lamp-posts and what not ( not just on youtube, in real life too ) and this app could be a godsend to them. If you SMS a lot while walking, then TransparenTXT provides a see-through messaging window and keyboard on top of the live vidoe from your camera. Again this might just be a Mango App ( I have tested it on Mango Omnia 7 and it works )

Free trial mode is limited to short SMS message length (40 characters), single recipient, default settings and standard keyboard characters. The full app costs $1.99. When you launch the app you get the live video feed from the camera and the s/w keyboard is also visible ( you can jump in to settings and adjust the transparency to your liking ). You can add recipients by choosing the contacts from your contact list and the character count will let you know how many characters you have left. Once you click send the message is copied over to the stock sms app and you have to click send again.

    Wow this is genius!!!!

Oh this is just sad… I can walk from the train station to work every morning reading a paper book (no it doesn’t need power ;) ) and not crash into anyone or anything… you just have to use your peripherals and glance around as you go… but then, I could be just very skilled, or lucky… <.<

a smartphone could possibly be better at getting your undivided attention as opposed to a piece of paper :)

Oh! Saijo George!!! Bite your tongue! BLASPHEMER!!! Lol!
Seriously, though, most of my free time is spent reading–physical books, or from my Kindle, Kobo, iBooks, or Nook apps (or looking for content to buy! Rotfl!!!) Not to mention, I have TWO Audible accounts and am a member of 3 online libraries, as well!
People DO still read, you know!!!
I am WAY into my Windows phone, iPad, iPod, Xbox 360, Alienware laptop and my desktop! I also do the occasional web designing and am the FIRST PERSON my friends and family come to with hardware/software/networking issues or advice on what ” new thing” to buy.
Sooooo, don’t put down those of us who can actually appreciate the recent apparent “novelty” of the printed page (pun DEFINITELY intended!!!), ALONG with all this “newfangled” I-Technology, Thank You Very Much!
And to Magoo Chris! You keep on using that peripheral vision, ma gewd man!!!

          :D :D :D

When I read my previous comment ( now ) I can see how that might sound like but that was not my intentions ..

I have got nothing against reading , I love a good book as much as the other guys ( perhaps a bit more ) but in the recent years I find myself more and more engrossed with the audio format. Reading ebook on my smartphone never really made sense to me but I have seen ebooks on an iPad and its great , holding off till the Win 8 tablets hits the streets then I will get back a bit of good old reading :)

Thanks for stopping by and adding that comment , its one of the interesting ones I have had the pleasure of reading lately ;)

As an addendum, Magoo Chris…I LOVE your profile pic! GREAT game! Was a favorite of mine for my PS2, as well as Overlord for PC and Xbox, for the sheer giggly fun and funny of them!!!
(Didn’t see your pic too well, at first, i am outside drinking a cuppa, and there is a horrible glare on my iPad! Lmao!!!)
