One of our favorite Homebrew developer Jaxbot from windows phone hacker has updated his Orientation Lock app to version 3 which have introduced the ability to pin a secondary live tile. Clicking on the secondary tile acts as a quick toggle between the orientation locked and orientation unlocked states and the tile icon will tell you if it is in locked or unlocked state. For me this app is quite handy when I want to read something in portrait mode while I am lying down.

Yesterday the folks at All About Windows Phone published the new Windows Phone Marketplace numbers. Now there are more than 80,000 apps published to the Marketplace.
While of course not all of these apps are active or available to everyone, this is a big step towards Microsoft’s goal to reach 100,000 apps in front of the launch of Windows Phone Apollo. April 8th, the day in which the Nokia Lumia 900 introduces itself to the US Market via AT&T. There are a lot of consumers here in the states, who have been waiting for this day to arrive. This article won’t be about that however. Same date, same carrier, but a different story though. With no big promotion, no people clamoring for its launch, front page on AT&T’s website, heck not even on its own OEM’s front page on their website, the HTC Titan™ II will launch on April 8th along with the Lumia 900. While kind of sad, it actually offers encouragement, the US market is showing Microsoft that they think WP is good, just not on a recycled Android device.
Nokia´s decision to bet on Windows Phone for their smartphones was right.
