Xbox LIVE service outage

Xbox LIVE service outage

Some of you may have noticed an Xbox LIVE outage, causing your Xbox LIVE Friends lists to disappear. The Xbox LIVE outage also causes Leaderboards and Statistics to fail when high scores are updated or leaderboards are attempted to be loaded. Microsoft are working hard to fix the outage, but have not specified any timescale on a fix or the exact cause of the fault, but knowing Microsoft there probably won’t be an explaination, It will just be swept under the rug

Microsoft have posted the following service outage message;

Brandon Watson leaves Microsoft for Amazon

Brandon Watson leaves Microsoft for Amazon

I would like to wish a fond farewell to @BrandonWatson, the Director of developer experience at Microsoft, known to many developers during their plight of getting their apps certified. Brandon is headed to Amazon to head up the Kindle cross net platform team. Brandon’s position at Microsoft was never a permanent position but his departure will leave a big hole with big shoes to fill.

WP Bench Spoof, Fix underway

WP Bench spoof is being investigated by developer

WP Bench spoof is being investigated by developer

Yesterday I told you about WP Bench being spoofed, Today I received a responce to my ‘Red Alert’ and the developer Robert Varga had this to say about the issue I raised…

I’ve contacted Microsoft if there’s any possibility to check whether device is locked or not (that’s the only info I could use for “trust/or not” decision during writing the data to database).

But, you know, Tango is coming and it could again bring some more security

We’ll see! :-)

Thank you very much for red alert, I’ve deleted the junk. Hopefuly Microsoft will provide me some idea about my question I’ve mentioned on top.

(edited to remove comments that may identify the vulnerbility)
