Project Resistance is intended to be a fully transparent view into the process of conceiving, developing and selling an application for Windows Mobile. Chris Fairburn has also joined the team and is making an iPhone version of the app.
Airplay SDK is a unique application development tool and environment that will allow developers to create one application via the SDK and publish to the major smartphone operating systems, including Android, Java, Linux, iPhone, Brew, Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Flash. According to Airplay, the SDK toolsets will save developers time in learning a new programming language specific to a mobile platform. Development is done in standard C++ programming language, saving developers about 40% of the development cost and 90% of the porting and testing costs and time. Developers need to compile for ARM code and the Airplay deployment tool will output a .SYS file for symbian, a .APP file for the iPhone, a .CAB file for Windows Mobile, and so on. via Pocketnow

When you have great idea and want to push that idea in to an Windows Mobile app , its essential to UI ( user interface ) right. Few windows mobile apps does not live up to its true potential coz of its lackluster UI. If the user does not find it easy to use the app they just discard it straight away and look for an alternate option and with Windows Mobiles vast library of apps they are bound to find one they like.
We cant blame the devs for this , if you look @ .NET Compact Framework and its Windows Forms library they are not the best candidate to quickly roll-out a new app a a great looking UI. I am not a developer but take a look @ look at the hello world application on windows mobile and the ones on iphone and the pre.
