Thanks to
PocketNow we now have a glimpse of what the Web Interface of Windows Mobile App store will look like. The pics are not high quality but gives us a general idea of what to expect. According to them you can add apps from the website to your download queue on your device. We are not sure if can download the apps from the website to your PC and then sync it. The Wen Interface will have multiple section like
Showcased Apps ,
Whats News, and something else I cant quite make out..
Can you guys figure out what the other one is ?.

Windows Mobile App Store
Today we are getting a lot of App store information. First it was SkyMarket and now according to
istartedsomething.com , a trademark application by Microsoft ”
Trademark application 77775625 for the trademark ONEAPP ”
Specifications indicate ” computer software for allowing mobile device users to send messages, make payments and access and play music, games and videos on mobile devices; computer software platforms for developing mobile applications; computer software, namely, software development tools for the creation of mobile applications; computer software for running retail store site for purchase and download of mobile applications over wireless networks “
OneApp does any one else think this will be a single store for Zune and Windows Mobile ?

no app store 4 u
Verizon is going to remove the Windows Mobile App Store from future devices and will replace it with Verizon’s own app store. This app will have content from all the major platforms under one roof, with purchases being billed through the customer’s Verizon account and not requiring a separate signup / credit card entry. But consumers can still download the Windows Mobile App Store and install it on the device if they wish. This makes more and more App Store for Windows Mobile, which I see as a bad thing. Cant we be happy with just one unified App store for Windows Mobile ? I was hoping that when the Official Windows Mobile App Store comes out this would be possible but when Carriers like Verizon does this that hope goes down the drain.
What do you guys think ?

handmarketapps
Every tom dick and harry wants an app store for Windows Mobile, this time
HandMark an online app store where other developers distribute their applications are now beta testing Handmarket Apps with a planned launch date sometime in July. A
beta tester from znet has posted some juicy info on the app. There are tabs along the top for Featured, Top (paid and free), Browse (categories, specials, new, and free), Search, and Locker (My Content and Manage My Account).
After selecting an application you have the opportunity to buy it, read user reviews or write your own (if you bought the application), or share it with others( send a text with link to download ). If it is a ringtone you can also choose to listen to it before you buy it. No description about how Demo/ Trial will work were disclosed.

LG Application Store
Looks like everyone wants an app store these days. LG mobile has got one of its own now with over 1400 tested Windows Mobile apps, the so called app store is a website where you can download content. Developers interested in adding to LG’s catalogue can go to
developer.lgmobile.com. Apparently its not just Windows Mobile Apps LG is also set to launch a movie, music and game service soon where owners can buy content directly for their devices. We also expect the future LG devices to directly plug-in to this store to access content, else we dont see how this can be a success.

If you buy an app through the App store and say you change your device a few months down the line, will you need to purchase a new license for the app ? Well according to wmexperts.com phones will have to be registered with the Marketplace, via Microsoft’s Live ID system. But doing so will allow you to install an up on as many as five phones with a single purchase.
Now the important question is will they allow us to use the all five license @ the same time. If that is possible that would allow app sharing between friends and family which is a good thing for customers but the developers might not find that option very attractive.
