PeekPocket is an easy to use, hassle-free WiFi scanner application for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices. There is no cab file to install, all you need to do is copy one file to your device and start scanning.

Don’t forget to turn your WLAN on before you try. You will hear a sound when an AP ( Access Point ) is found - there are different sounds for open & secure network. Tap AP names to access graph & large mode. Use options to select filters/language etc. Upon exit, you will find a text file called PeekPocket.txt. It’s a tabbed text document with saved AP infos. Simply open with Word Mobile, select all, then copy to Excel and you have a nice scrollable formatted list.

WeFi - WiFi network finder

WeFi is a Windows Mobile application that helps you find the strongest available WiFi connection in the area. WeFi will automatically search for the best free WiFi in the area when turned on. Find WiFi spots on your map, add your own WiFi spots, or even see where your friends are connected locally or worldwide! To see your or any other connection location just enter the address in the search box and hit “search”. You will pull up a map of all available and free WiFi spots in the area.
