Sprint&WP
Today we are learning about a very unlikely carrier to be interested in testing out a Windows Phone 8 with Qualcomm’s MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz Dual-Core Processor. Sprint, US’ 3rd largest mobile carrier with over 55 million customers appears to be ahead of other carriers with interest in testing out the Windows Phone new hardware. We all have known of the dual-core processor and its remarkable benchmarks. What makes the situation unique is that Sprint is a CDMA network and currently only carries the HTC Arrive, a 1st generation device. Along with Verizon, Sprint has been outspoken of recent in there lack of support for Windows Phones. HTC Trophy sporting Mango
So its official, Mango is coming September 27 to AT&T and it seems Verizon won’t be left behind as well. Verizon currently has the HTC Trophy, a really good Windows Phone device.
What’s even better is the above image which was taken at an official Verizon store which clearly shows the Verizon HTC Trophy running Windows Phone Mango build 7720.68. It has been yet to confirmed whether this is final code or the reps were just playing around with the RTM onto the phone. Definitely good to see Verizon is taking Windows Phone seriously and promoting the upcoming platform. Great news for all you Trophy owners.
