ThrottleLauncher

ThrottleLauncher is a fully customizable UI framework for Windows Mobile devices. The beauty of this UI is there are some great theme out there that lets you mimic the iPhone, Android , Blackberry and more. We showed you a new WP7 theme that will be released for ThrottleLauncher very soon. So if you like to try out different themes for windows phone this is one app you don’t want to miss.

Prerequisites
* CPU: > 200 Mhz (the higer the better)
* Storage Memory: ~5 MB (depends on the themes installed)
* Main memory: ~8 MB (depends on the themes installed)
* NET.CF 2.0 installed. (NET.CF 3.5 recommended)
* Windows Mobile 5.0 or Greatter.
* In order to use OpenGL mode you need 3D accelerated hardware (normally available in all wVGA and VGA devices).
* Any device manufacturer and screen resolutions are supported!!

a new look ThrottleLauncher 1.0 is coming soon

We don’t know much about it but it looks like this will be released by the end of this week, or the beginning of the next one. ThrottleLauncher 1.0 uses 3d hardware acceleration with OpenGL (for devices supporting it ofcourse) and includes a lot of new features like MNG and APNG animations support. The new version includes a new theme designed for VGA/wVGA resolution (qVGA and wqVGA is also supported).

FSlide beta 3 – a new UI for windows mobile

FSlide is a new Ui developed by FS-design & LeSScro. The following interfaces have been tested on: Toshiba TG01, HD2 HTC, Samsung Omnia2 and a 1GHz Processor is recommended for best performance.

Requirements for applications :
Screen resolution: 480 X 800
A storage card (No matter the capacity)
Windows Version: WM6.5 (ENGLISH ROM or French ROM)

iPhoneToday 1.4 – iPhone Home Screen on Windows Phone

iPhoneToday is now Nobeing developed by a new xda-member tronikos. He has resumed development and released version 1.4 with some bug fixes and improved settings.

Changelog : iPhoneToday v1.4
1. Support for Pocket PC 2003
2. Support for Portable Navigation Devices (Windows CE Core)
3. Today item height is automatically figured (you can have multiple today items and it should still work properly as long as iPhoneToday is the last one)
4. Vertical scrolling
5. Added header text for each screen
6. Support for BMP files without using the imaging API (BMP images are actually a lot faster)
7. Made almost everything configurable
8. Bottombar can have different settings from the mainscreen
9. Icon text can be set to 0
10. Icon offset can be set to a negative value to make the text overlap the icon
11. Commandline arguements and special icons with the same commands (–reload, –relaunch, –add, –options, –close, –exit, –goto:, –goto:next, –goto:previous, –goto:down, –goto:up)
12. Added copy icon and copy here in the right click (long tap) menu
13. Paths can now be relative to the application directory
14. Better orientation and rotation support
15. Special characters such as “, < , >, & are properly handled in the XML (if you manually edit the XML make sure you escape them!)
16. Use the last indexed LED as the vibration LED
17. Scroll through the pages with the directional pad.
18. Many other bugfixes, improvements, and optimizations

Request : I know some of you guys hate the iPhone UI and flame everything that tries to mimic this UI. But there are many users who like these UI on Windows Mobile. So keep the flaming to a minimum ;)

Max Sense – a new UI is on the horizon

According to ppcgeeks.com maxycy from xda-developers is working on a new UI called Max Sense. It has got some major inspiration from the Sense interface on Android. The app is not available yet but keep an eye on this forum thread for more info.

Infinity – A new UI for windows mobile users

Infinity

This new app comes from Ageye Software. Their apps are known for the finger friendly nature and beautiful Graphics. The app does look a lot like the Android UI with widget support. This app is the first alpha and here is what it does. Landscape mode is not yet supported.

- A basic lock screen
- Two widgets – a digital clock and one to place shortcuts on the desktops
- A customizable startmenu
- A notification manager (click on the taskbar)
- and a taskbar

And they plan to include this in the future ( with Ageye Software on the job we are sure they will deliver )
- Customizable lock screen
- Contact list
- Messaging
- Release of the Widget SDK (which helps you to simply create own widgets!)

- Online addin to browse and download widgets/themes/wallpapers
- Lots of options to configure your Infinity

Androkkid 1.2.0 – an Android UI clone for Windows Mobile

Androkkid is a new Windows Mobile interface, with a lots of customization and a fully graphical design and animations for Windows Mobile 5/6 completely writed in .NET.
