iTask 0.91

You will need to install Flash lite 2.1 player.
download itask , extract contents and place folder at “root of your device”

Changes from last version:

-Rewritten from flash 7 to Flash lite (Painstaking!)
-New news reader (looks the same, but all new because of flash lite limitations on the old one.) It’s faster, you can add as many feeds as you want. Use right/left hardbutton to change feeds. Also added browser link for reading the whole article.
-New calendar (because the old one didn’t work in flash lite)
-Rewrote parts of weather. (because the old one didn’t work in flash lite)
-New drawing app. Much smoother, more functions.
-New timer. (because the old one didn’t work in flash lite)
-New snake game
-New bubblebreaker game
-New solitaire! (this took an awful long time to make)
-Added 4 search functions to write
-Added urls.txt: rss feeds addresses should be put here
-New loadani.exe: Screenshot app. Takes screenshots of all your apps and saves them as the appropriate loadani. Start the exe and see what I mean.
-Many small fixes

To do

- Add teleprovider name
-Fix volumeicon
-Fix network icon
-Add systeminfo in settings
-Tetris- makeover
- Your ideas (not to complex, please)

-Input.txt is where you do all text/execute modification. It is wise to have all 3 folders on your computer as well for easy modification, and then copy over to ppc.
All buttonimages are adressed in this file by numbers from 1-X, from the top left to the bottom right. Same with text, executelinks etc.

-Buttons should be 40×40 pixels. iTask gives the button roundness and shade, so you don’t need to add that. Background images: 240×320 pixels.

-All jpg files MUST be NON-PROGRESSIVE. Keep the file sizes low.

-For the flash interested crowd, replacing the jpg file with a swf-file should work, as long as it’s still called it’s original xxx.jpg name. Using the same size is recommended. To use any form of _root command is not recommended.

TxtMan 2.0

TxtMan is a threaded SMS program for Windows Mobile 5.0+. It sends and receives text messages (SMS) and displays the messages as a conversation, like an instant messenger client.

TxtMan 2.0mainform.gif

TxtMan has been tested mainly on the Motorola Q, but has been reported to work on these devices:

* Motorola Q
* Treo 700w
* Treo 700wx
* Cingular 8125
* Verizon XV6700
* Samsung i320
* T-Mobile Dash
* Samsung Blackjack
* Cingular 8525
* Orange M3100
* T-Mobile SDA
* O2 XDA Exec
* T-Mobile MDA (vibrate may not work)

It may work on other devices. If you’re running Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone or Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition, give it a try. If it works, let me know so I can add your device to this list. TxtMan has been reported to work on some devices running Windows Mobile 6.0. TxtMan requires the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 to be installed on your phone in order to run. It’s free, and many other Windows Mobile programs require it, so it’s a good thing to have. To download it here

Notes:

  • TxtMan no longer needs to be running to receive incoming SMS messages. TxtMan will launch automatically upon the receipt of an SMS message.
  • You won’t get message notifications like the built in messaging app gives you, but the program will play a sound, vibrate, and bring itself to the foreground when a message is received. If the phone’s ringer is off (silent mode) or you are on a call, TxtMan will not make a sound when an SMS is received. However, it will still vibrate, unless you turn that off in the options.
  • Due to the peculiarities of the .NET Compact Framework, when the focus is on the conversation window, pressing up and down on the 5-way pad scrolls the conversation, but will not move the focus back to the text input area. To move the focus away from the conversation window, press any key except up or down. For some reason, this applies to some devices, and not others.
