Androkkid is an Android interface clone for Windows Mobile. It’s a little slow to boot up, but has Android’s page swipes and app launcher. The video is of the last version. Latest version has a couple widgets and enhancements (available in all resolutions, portrait mode only).

Many of you are probably familiar with iFonz and iFonz 2. These are two spectacular UIs for Windows Mobile. The developer of those interfaces has released the last version of his latest project, Androkkid. By the title of the interface, there is no doubt that it’s modeled after the Android OS. A lot of options still aren’t working, even though it’s the last version. What does work, works very well.

Version 0.4.0 – 09/09/2009 – Last version:

* Add icons to desktop from list by tap on icon and release on desktop
* If you tap icon you can move it were you want
* If you move icon on X or on pen you can delete and edit it
* Tapping on background open a default menu with a lot of actions on program
* You can add contact from your contacts list
* You can add url by typing it on program
* You can minimize program by tapping on background and choose Minimize
* There are a lot of settings in file Settings.ini in the application folder, you can modify but first make a backup

PointUI Home 1 and 1.5 was a huge success when it was released, @ the time finger friendly interface was a hole new concept on Windows Mobile. Samsung’s TouchWiz and HTC’s TouchFlo were non existant @ the time. Now after working with some major carriers ( Bell, Telstra ) they have released a new FREE version of PointUI Home 2, Pro version with more features like Auto Lock and Haptic feedback will be coming soon ( we are not aware of the Pricing for it yet ). This is not just a Today screen replacement but a whole new UI. The interface looks nothing like the 1.5 interface so give it a go and let us know what you think about it.

WARNING : Some people have had issues with this and have had to Hard Reset their device. So if you decide to install it, please make a back of your data.

Install Samsung Omnia User Interface on your VGA device like the Touch Diamond or Touch Pro. Its assumed that flash Lite is already present on your device.

Install Instruction :

• Download the plugin
  Omnia Today Plugin and install it in to the Phone memory
• Download the VGA files
  Touchwiz VGA
• Extract the VGA files
• Copy these files to your windows directory overwriting the ones that are already there
• Go to Settings > Today > Items and unselect TouchFLO3D (Samsung Widget should already be selected)

DONT select the other today items like Samsung Today 1 or Samsung Today 2, you might have to Hard Reset if you do

• Reboot

For QVGA screen devices : Omnia UI on QVGA device

iFonz is a clone of iPhone interface, with a lots of customization and a fully graphical design and animations for Windows Mobile 5/6 written in .NET ( you need the .Net Compact Framework for this to work )

HomeScreen PlusPlus UI (User Interface Edition) is a Today-Plugin/HomeScreen-Plugin based on HomeScreen PlusPlus (Basic Edition) for XDA Neo (HTC Prophet – Windows Mobile 5 Phone Edition). Anything of HomeScreen PlusPlus (Basic Edition) is part of HomeScreen PlusPlus UI Edition and in addition to that there are some more helpful features.

You can build your own Touch/Stylus User Interface for PDAs and PDA-Phones (Windows Mobile based phones) and combine actions (click/tap/tap’n’hold/..) with external applications. By means of the windows-registry and the inbuild “registry_tracker” you can keep states and show them with different images on the homescreen. Step by step on how to install the Manilla 2D interface on your HTC QVGA device. I have tried this on my TyTN and it works like a treat all credits to herg62123 from xda-developers. I installed everything but Opera browser on to device memory.

Instruction:
When ever the device says you need to restart after a cab installation , plz restart the device.
