The Tower of Hanoi also known as Towers of Hanoi is a math puzzle invented by French mathematician Édouard Lucas in 1883. In the classic implementation of the game there are three rods, and a number of disks of different sizes which can slide onto any rod. The puzzle starts with the disks in a neat stack in ascending order of size on one rod, the smallest at the top, thus making a conical shape. The objective of the puzzle is to move the entire stack to another rod, obeying the following rules:

Only one disk may be moved at a time.

Each move consists of taking the upper disk from one of the rods and sliding it onto another rod, on top of the other disks that may already be present on that rod.

No disk may be placed on top of a smaller disk.

Now a developer , <del datetime="2010-06-27T05:46:45+00:00">only know to us as</del> emalamisura from youtube [ Update : here is their blog ] is working on a silverlight version of the game for WP7 and apparently was coded in 2 weeks. Features include game saves. As you progress along the various levels , you start with more disks thus presenting a greater challenge. From the video it looks like the game will at least have 10 levels and will also have a highscore ( the developer have plans of implementing an online leaderboard as well ). They might also have more games for WP7, coz there is a link within the app to check out their other games.

If you want to try out a similar game on WM6.x try Towers of Glennoi , check out other WP7 games
