FEWidgets, created by Nicodega, is an interface for Windows Mobile that looks like the Omnia interface. It has widgets that you can drag from a side bar and place on 4 different desktop screens. The UI used to be working through Flash, but is now written in 100% native coding. FEWidgets is a fast UI that gives you a nice break from the TouchFLOs and other popular UIs out.

Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, is no stranger for Windows Mobile users, they’ve also have got TouchWiz up and running onSymbian, and Samsung’s own proprietary OS. TouchWiz looks and behaves more or less identically on all of these platforms, providing some degree of uniform user experience across vastly different interfaces.

According to MobileCrunch Each TouchWiz-enabled device came with 10-15 widgets, and that was that. If you wanted to download more, you were out of luck. If you wanted to make your own, that was just too bad. That’s all about to change coz Later today, Samsung will be launching a TouchWiz section of their Mobile Innovator portal. With this, Samsung is officially opening up development of TouchWiz widgets to third party developers. Currently limited to the likes of world clocks and picture frames, TouchWiz may soon be jam-packed with Twitter widgets and fart buttons ( ah the good old fart apps , dont they seem to find their way in to everything )

Samsung’s Armani redo, the F480, as you might have noticed it’s running a new OS. The UI — called TouchWiz — is based off of the company’s Croix interface (which apparently was rushed out to compete with the iPhone), and will be used on all of the upcoming finger-touch phones from the manufacturer. The cats over at Phone Scoop had a chance to go one-on-one with TouchWiz at Mobile World Congress, and they’ve put together a pretty informative video that shows off the UI doing its thing. The inclusion of a new widget system, expanded menu options, and overall speed bump make this OS a notable step up from Samsung’s previous offering.
