How to solve the Microp error on HTC Diamond

If your HTC is plagued by the hardware bug, known as the ‘Microp’ error @siddharthsaig has posted a possible solution on xda-developers. Symptoms of the bug include a dialogue box with the message ‘Microp Version Mismatch 0, Please upgrade latest MicroP firmware‘, worsened or non-existent screen backlight performance, no backlight for hard keys, an unresponsive reset button and lowered touchscreen sensitivity.

Plz note that the guide involves opening up your device and it will most likely void your warranty and kindly note that the 1800PocketPC / siddharthsaig cannot be accountable/liable for any damage caused to your phone.

HTC Diamond 2 WVGA applications ported to VGA HTC Touch Diamond. Some of these apps have extra features thats absent from the default app present with HTC Diamond. These cabs are hosted @ EverythingDiamond.info. They have the app in OEM versions ( required only if you are cooking your own ROM ) and the normal CAB installation file.

HTC revamps TouchFLO 3D for improving performance

By now every would have heard about the slow nature of the TouchFLO 3D interface . It wasn’t as responsive as it was expected to be. HTC confirmed today that the European HTC Touch Diamond, which went on sale officially just recently, is running a much improved TouchFLO 3D version which is speedier, snappier and more responsive.

The Touch Diamond’s Boot Up Video

Touch Diamond plays a full-screen video tutorial for you the first time you boot the device up. The video tutorial teaches you how to use the new TouchFLO 3D interface.

There’s no audio in the video, but it apparently looks great on the Touch Diamond’s 640×480 pixel screen as per the info from pocketnow.com
