ArkSwitch is an easy to use, finger-friendly task manager for Windows Mobile 6.5.3 (with a WM6.5 compatibility mode). ArkSwitch can be opened from any screen that has the top bar visible. You can click the text of an app to bring it to the foreground, click the icon to view the App Info screen, or click the “X” image to close it. WM6.5.3 users would be crazy not to use this, this is easily one of the best task mangers out there on windows mobile 6.5.3. We will try and get a full detailed review of the app soon. Kudos to Arktronic for releasing this app. With the latest version the app supports theming and we are sure to see some amazing themes for this app in the near future

This version add WM6.5 compatibility in case you don’t want ArkSwitch to take over your top bar, you can disable that functionality and thereby have it function as a standard app. In this mode, the original WM6.5 should also be fully functional. To enable this mode go to the Options screen.

This new app comes from Ageye Software. Their apps are known for the finger friendly nature and beautiful Graphics. The app does look a lot like the Android UI with widget support. This app is the first alpha and here is what it does. Landscape mode is not yet supported.

The Tool is a pocket pc software that provides a finger friendly file explorer and task manager for Windows Mobile. Not much info is available about the app at the moment. Should work on touch screen devices and non touch screen devices.

A member at XDA, amarullz, has created a task manager for Windows Mobile and it’s recently reached the release candidate stage. E-Natives Showcase is a free, finger and resource friendly task manager with professional skinning and is easy to use. With this task manager, you can view RAM usage, close running programs one by one or all together, and it supports all resolutions.

This is the Task Manager from Acer Tempo M900. The interface is pretty simple and was working well on the Touch Pro. It shows you the usual stuff such as the available memory, running apps, etc. The cab does NOT add a shortcut to the programs folder, so you will have to manually launch it from the File explorer.
