HTC HD7 gets NoDo

by bishnoo on March 31, 2011

in News

Finally, the TMo HD7 gets its shots of ‘Copy/Paste’, among other things! Based on the schedule released earlier by Microsoft, T-Mobile has begun to release the NoDo update to its users.  HD7 users will get a shot at the update through their Zune software. this was announced by TMo on their Twitter feed and some users should have already got their ‘lucky’ break. The announcement only claims the START of the update and it might take a while to reach everyone – so patience folks.

You should be getting the notification OTA but will need to connect through the Zune software to actually GET the update.

Rumors mills are working over time just before the official WP7 announcement. If tmonews.com has got it right we might see a T-Mobile HTC HD7 with 16GB internal storage unlike the European HTC HD7 with 8GB storage which was a let down for may of our readers and me. They are also claiming that the device will have 576MB of RAM and you can pick one up for yourself on t-Mobile USA for $199.99 after a 2-year agreement.

WP7 coming to the UK in October – Confirmed.

by Cris Rowlands on September 21, 2010

in News

Today, whilst wondering around town, I decided to go into the Vodafone shop (Vodafone is the network I’m on) & ask them when they would be getting any Windows Phone 7 devices in.

Windows Phone 7They told me that it just so happened that they had a WP7 representative in-store just earlier today, showing them about it. The guy I talked to said that when someone comes in to show them a phone like that, they tend to get the phone/s arriving within a month, which in this case coincides with the rumored October release date of WP7.

I then also went into an Orange & a T-Mobile store.
Orange said they were getting in some devices next
month & had seen the same representative earlier,
but T-Mobile hadn’t heard anything.

No one seemed to know anything specific about which devices would be appearing,
but one guy did mention that something to do with Acer. Ive not heard anything about any Acer WP7 devices yet, but it looks like they are still in the game!

October cant come too soon.
Plus it’s my birthday on the 18th…    ;)

HTC HD2

HTC HD2

If anyone is going to get the HD2, you might want to get it via T-Mobile.com because you can get 35% cashback! To do this you have to do two simple steps.

First, go to bing.com/cashback and set up a free Bing Cashback account.
Second, go to the bing.com homepage and search for “T-mobile” without the quotes. At the top of the page there should be a “Sponsored Sites” for T-Mobile official site. It should have the Bing Dollar sign logo. Click that link. You will have an overlay come up, enter in the email address you used to sign up for Bing Cashback, and click submit.

Once you do this, get the phone you want from T-mobile.com. You have to purchase the phone during this session.. you can’t save the phone to the cart and come back to it. If you have to come back, you will have to do the same bing.com search, and click the ad to go back to T-mobile.com.

There is no guarantee this would work , if you decide to give it a go, let us know how it goes. BTW the cash back will take around 60 days. Say thanks to steveymacjr from the TMobile Forum and fuzemobility.com for the find
