Twitpics on the People Hub

Good news for all you Twitter addicts constantly uploading pics on twitpics. Microsoft has done some behind the curtains tweaking and twitpics are now visible on the people and pictures hub in addition to pictures already syncd from Facebook and Skydrive. Earlier the hub only used to show a static link to the image. This wasn’t offered by any update but just seems a change Microsoft did the way Windows Phones connect and fetch from the cloud. Hopefully we will be seeing more of these updates.

Zune terms changing, reduce in number of sync devices

Zune Terms Message

Something I am not very pleased to write about but it seems like starting September 13, Microsoft will be reducing the number of sync devices by which you can sync with the Zune music service from a total of 6 devices ( 3 PC and 3 Windows Phone devices) to 4 (at least one computer and combination of other devices). You’ll also need to download at least one new song to each device to continue using the service. (more…)

GogTasks is a Google Tasks Synchronization tool for Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007 and Pocket Outlook for Windows Mobile 6.x. The application relies on the Google Tasks Web Service which is not publically supported (nor documented). This makes the application vulnerable to any change Google might do to this service. Theoretically, the application may stop functioning at any time if Google decides to restrict or shut down this service. It also provides a user interface for administrating the tasks which better suit the Google Tasks functionality. The UI is designed to allow finger control instead of the use of a stylus.

FinchSync is a tool for synchronizing contacts, appointments and tasks from Mozilla email and calendar products with a Pocket PC or SmartPhone. Contacts are synchronized with the email client’s address book. The build-in applications of the Netscape- and Mozilla Application Suite are supported as well as the standalone Mozilla Thunderbird. Events, Appointments and tasks are synchronized with Lightning, the Mozilla Calendar extension for the Mozilla Suite, Firefox and Netscape or the standalone Sunbird from Version 0.3 and higher.

The app has a server which has to be install on to the PC and a client for Windows Mobile.
