Fifa World Cup 2010 is almost here and if you havent already found an app for it on your windows phone , you might want to look at the new WordldCup app by José Gallardo Salazar. The app looks really nice with finger friendly controls and best of all its free. This app requires a touch-screen device with Windows Mobile and the Microsoft .Net Compact Framework 3.5. He has also developed some sort of Panoramic Framework that allowed him to develop this app, I am sure other developers for Windows Phone would love to learn more about it , head over to his website for more info.
F1 2010 gives you detailed information about the F1 championship Season 2010 in the languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Romanian, Russian and Dutch. It contains information about the circuits, drivers and teams. It also possible to fill in the race results or update the race results on-line. F1 2010 supports many displays from QVGA up to QXGA on all Windows Mobile devices (Pocket PC and SmartPhone)!
Update in this version :
* Results: GP Monaco 2010
* Buxfixes for overall pole position/start in driver/team details
* New language added: Polish/Polski (thanks: Luke)
Here is a cool new app from bbonzzSoft , PocketRunner is a gym in your pocket. Run with your fingers on four different tracks (road and offroad), and see how much far you can go. PocketRunner Light has only one kind of road – the asphalt one – and doesn’t display statistics: it’s anyway a fun game, to exercise your fingers and to kill some time. In “pro” version you’ll have also:
* running track (the orange road)
* grass path (the green road)
* soil path (the sepia road)
* statistics (distance covered, time, speed, speed record)
* ability to switch between cm-Km/h and in-mph
* adjustable screen height (to give you the real distance covered calculated on your screen dimension)
FootballMonitor is a windows mobile software created by esudl from xda-developers. Football (Soccer) Monitoring Service alerts you when a team is playing and on score updates during matches. Configurable for teams, and frequency of update. Works with lots of major leagues round the world. The app is still in early days of development. The app obviously requires an internet connection to get it’s data.
TeamStats 1.3.1 is a windows mobile software that aloows the user to check Soccer stats, results and fixtures on a Windows Mobile Phone. TeamStats for PocketPC has a built-in LiveUpdate-feature that downloads league files from the internet. For this to work your PocketPC needs to have an internet connection when you run LiveUpdate. I think the UI is a bit dated but it does get the job done. The app is open source , so if any of the developers out there can pick this up and work out a more finger friendly UI for the app that would be so cool. The app supports all major leagues including the Hyundai A-League, Barclays Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc
The first thing you need to do is to select what leagues to keep updated. From the LiveUpdate menu select “Select leagues” and then check the leagues you’re interested in. To actually download the leagues you tap the LiveUpdate icon (the antenna) on the menu bar. When new leagues become available you will be noticed when you do a LiveUpdate.
Special thanks to andreatozzi from xda-developers for the find.
