GUI for Touch HD and XPERIA x1 video encoding
Instructions:
- Download http://gm.mainframe.no/stuff/Encoder_1.03.rar
- Unpack the RAR to a directory of your choosing (on your computer).
- Download Nero AAC Encoder from http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-ne…-aac-codec.php and copy NeroAacEnc.exe to the tools folder of the place where you extracted the RAR. Sorry that you have to do this, but Nero’s license doesn’t allow me to distribute the encoder and it is currently the best AAC encoder.
- Download and install Avisynth from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/avi…9&big_mirror=0
- Run Encoder.exe
- Select the videos you would like to encode and the output folder, hit “Start!”.
- Once finished encoding, transfer the encoded video to your Blackstone and use Album or WMP to view them. ( Coreplayerwill not play it )
A few notes..
If your source videos are SD (DVD, PAL etc), use the default 500 kbit/s or 400kbit/s..
If your source videos are HD (1080p/720p), use 750kbit/s.
Remember, there is absolutely no point to use higher bitrate, because the quality won’t really increase and you will use more battery life with higher bitrate!
Here’s a sample file of what this encoder is able to do. Copy to device and play it.
