In this video Rob Wolf, Social Media Manager @ Microsoft, interviews Rick Osterloh, Skype’s Vice President of Products, on the subject we have been waiting to hear news of since Microsoft purchased Skype back in October. They mention Multi-Platform integration, which can only mean PC, Xbox360 and Windows Phone, but could even mean RIM, iOS and Android too!

According to on Matt Farrington-Smith from tech.uk.msn.com Skype now officially part of Microsoft, yeah we have reported that Microsoft has made a bid to get skype before but it was only on 13 October 2011 that the $8.5 billion deal was finalized. Skype is happy , Microsoft is happy and Telcos are terrified but what about Windows Phone users ( that is you and me ) ?

Last week we reported on a job posting on Skype Careers searching for an expert to optimize their Skype video engine, and we had a feeling Skype integration is coming to Windows Phone.
Back in April ‘11 during the MIX conference, Joe Belfiore of the Windows Phone team briefly mentioned Skype will be coming to Windows Phone in the fall. Fast forward one month later, we hear announcement of Microsoft acquiring Skype for $8.5 billion, we knew Skype integration into Windows Phone is imminent.
