Nullstring from xda-developers have released a new reboot app called JWMD Phone Reset. When you launch the app the device reboots in 5 sec. You can cancel the reboot , reboot immediately or force a shutdown. The app got got the WP7 look to it. however it is not skinnable in this version. Should support the following resolutions : QVGA, VGA, WVGA

PowerOptions 1.2

PowerOptions, from TinTin, is a power tool for HTC devices to easily soft reset, shut down, turn off backlight and put the device into standby mode all from one little application written in native C++. You can either download the full app or install standalone apps that do specific power functions with a simple click.

Note: this app was developed for QVGA and WVGA HTC devices. Please contact the developer for any inquiries.

The functions:

- SoftReset: will soft reset (warm boot) the device using a safe method advised by msdn (microsoft developer network).

- Shutdown: will shut down the device using the same (HTC) method as if you’d press and hold the power on/off button for longer.

- Standby: will suspend the device using the same method as if you’d press and hold the power on/off button shortly.

- Dim Light: will turn off the backlight.

- Screen off: will completely turn off the screen while WIFI, bluetooth, music etc. will still run.

This simple application, created by s.virtan from XDA, is used as a power manager. Sometimes it is a hassle to go to different areas of your phone, whether it be through software or hardware buttons, to do simple tasks like soft resetting or powering off your mobile device. With SVMPowerMgr 1.0, you can: turn off the screen, put the device in suspend mode, soft reset and power down. Unlike other similar programs, this one has all those features in one app. It was just released, so there may be some bugs. It is, however, worth the download to help you be more productive.

xdaShutdown is a windows mobile freeware that gives you the option to reboot , sleep / turn the screen off or switch off your device. In some app the switch off just turns the screen off but this app tries to address that issue and turns off the device. Skinning support might come up in the next version.

With Shutdown for Pocket PCs you can easy perform a soft restart of your device. The dialog style has the same appearance like the Microsoft Windows XP Shutdown dialog. You can have a Short cut icon in the taskbar for easy access.

The buttons are Cancel, Turn Off, and Restart. Selecting Turn off instantly sends your PocketPC into hibernation and clicking Restart performs a software reset.
