There are many 3rd part lock screen apps for windows mobile but Stickman89 from xda-dev have released a new skin for WVGA Windows Mobile 6.5 that will skin the stock lockscreen on wm6.5 to look and feel like the iPhone 4 lock screen. It even mimics the font on the iPhone. Now from a users standpoint the WM6.5 lockscreen offers more data at a glance but if you prefer the simplistic slide to unlock on the lockscreen then try out this new skin
Something about Fingerprints scanners looks cool and we did take a look at an older version of the app here. The dev have released a new version 1.6 with some changes. The main purpose of the app is to trick your friends into thinking that only your finger can really unlock the phone, when in reality, it is as simple as keeping count!
Features:
A secure lockscreen executable which unlocks “only” to your touch
Ability to customize some of the applications components
Custom-Made TopBar Controls
New Item Icons: Icons for new SMS, E-Mail, Voice Mail, and Missed Calls
Clock-On-Top:A remake of the typical Windows Statusbar Clock. Simple and functional.
Battery Meter: A Percent-By-Percent updating battery meter.
Signal Meter: A 5-Bar Signal Meter getting updates efficiently and quickly
A Status-Text Area with the current action of the program is (Waiting, scanning, SUCCESS, or FAILURE)
Have you ever accidentally ignored an incoming call? Have you ever accidentally answered a call and left the caller ‘talking to your pocket’? Have you ever accidentally dismissed reminders or alarms? …or ‘never heard of them’? Has your phone ever freezed because of too much ‘touch input’? Have you ever had programs mysteriously starting ‘by themselves’? Has your ear ever started a program? Has your phone ever drained out batteries too fast because of being ON inside your pocket? If you said ‘yes’ for any of the questions above, then this is great news for you!
PocketShield is an intelligent screen locker. Prevents accidental touch on the phone screen specially when it is turned on not precisely by you. For example: when receiving calls, email notifications, SMS, alarms, battery alerts, reminders, etc. As you may have experienced, PocketPCs “wake up” whenever any of these events occur, they will also wake up when batteries are low, and randomly when phone signal changes antenna depending on your location. But the problem is: What if the phone is inside your pocket in that moment? Touch screens will take any touch over it as a user input, and arbitrary “touching” could cause many undesired results!
FFP_LockScreen is a new Fake FingerPrint Lockscreen for Windows Mobile. The fake finger print scanner is just an image that shows a scanner gui on the screen on your phone, it looks quite nice and offers some customization options. You can set the number of scan required for the device to unlock , so if anyone else uses the lock screen they cannot unlock the screen unless they know the exact number of scans required to unlock it. The speed of the scan is also customizable. I could not get the custom text field to work on my Diamond. Here is a short video of the app in action
The topbar also has some notification icons
* New Item Alerts: Featuring Icons that tell you when you have new Emails, Missed Calls, Voicemails, and Texts
* Battery Meter: A full battery meter that changes color based on battery charge.
* Clock: A Basic clock that displays the time of day.
* Signal Meter: A Mostly-Accurate signal meter that tells you how much phone signal you have
How to Use:
* To Customize: In the start menu go to CycloneApps / FFP_LockScreen and run the Customization EXE.
o Enter appropriate values into each field and click OK.
* To Use:
o Locking: Run the FFP_LockScreen EXE.
o Unlocking: This program unlocks based on a counter. When you put your finger down on the scan-zone it will start moving a scanner down and up. It starts at the top. When it hits the bottom, the counter will be at ONE, when it goes and hits the top, it will be TWO, and so forth. When you release your finger, if the counter value matches the programmed value (Default is 6, but it can be customized), it will unlock, otherwise it will not.

MetroLock is a new lock screen for Windows Mobile that give the lock screen a metro inspired look. It is being developed by Cendaryn from xda-developer

ScreenSaver is a simple application that runs in the background. When the device is plugged in (ActiveSync or mains) it pops to the foreground and displays the time (more to come). To hide it, swipe down the screen, to close it, swipe up the screen (note, if OS < 6.5, tap minimizes, there's not close as yet). It uses your device settings for time (IE, 24 hour/AMPM/whatever) so there's nothing to change.
Requirements:
WM6.5+ device (touchscreen only)
20kb storage, (up to) 200kb free RAM (on a WVGA device, so less on smaller resolutions) (up to) 2MB free RAM with wallpaper.
To do:
Add a nice start menu icon (anyone fancy making one?)
Add icons for notifications
Possibly make it a lockscreeny like thing
Possibly add an image that gets slid down (rather than just hoping that will minimize it)
