Apollo test pilot wanted
I am sure many of you will be wondering the same question Will Windows Phone 8 Apollo be available on Gen 1 ( the launch devices Samsung Omnia 7 , LG Optimus, etc ) or Gen 2 devices ( post Mango devices like the Lumia series , Samsung Focus S, etc ). We have seen
indication that Apps will be backward compatible for most parts but nothing has been said about the OS coming to older devices.
With Apollo there are speculations that skype will be baked in to the OS which would require the use of Front Facing Camera for the video chat option, its also possible that some native apps will make use of the gyroscope which is missing in many of the Gen 1 devices. So will Microsoft block the updates on Gen1 devices to offer the customers a better experience than hit them with a feature not available message when they try to use some of the features that are not available on their devices coz of hardware limitations ?

FYI AT&T has not official given out any release dates for the device. The price of $99.99 for a 2 year contract ( again something BGR reported ) seems to be unchanged.
