Here is a rumor that many of you will be exited about according to nokiainnovation, they have received a tip that suggests Windows Phone 8 will have live wallpapers and not just some silly animated wallpaper but things that can show users real meaningful data. According to the pictures that they leaked there is a wallpaper from Bing that is pushed on to your phone a.k.a a new awesome wallpaper every day , granted its not very meaningful but Bing always seem to have amazing wallpapers. Next one is a live sports update ( I don’t think it will be real-time, but will probably update at set intervals, which is perfect) and finally a news wallpapers that shows up images from the latest news events around the world.

As fantastic a design as the Lumia 900 is, it would be an understatement to say I was disappointed that it didn’t feature the curved glass of the 800. When holding it in your hands it was amazing how much more ‘pop’ it gave the screen, like it was coming out at you (which I guess it does).
There are rumors going around which suggest Microsoft is planning to unveil a new feature called Xbox Live Companion ( not to be confused with the phone app Xbox Companion ). This is said to allow developers of Xbox 360 console games to stream content directly to a mobile phone or tablet. ( I assume this wont be the full version of the game but mini games that allows users to expand the characters / abilities while on the move using mini games could be one possible option ). We have only come across a handful of windows phone game that integrated with the games on xbox 360 but if this new Xbox Live Companion rumors are true then we will see a lot more of those on your phone.
Yesterday we ran a rather odd looking Windows Phone 8 rumor ( read ). Most of you guys agreed that it was most likely a fan made concept and not the real deal but now a Nokia Lumia 900 advertisement on pcadvisor.co.uk ( see source link below, it might still be up ) shows some interesting Live tiles.
Some new images have cropped up claiming to be design work for a future version of Windows Phone. The folks from Insideris is claiming this will be pre Windows Phone 8. It certainly does not look like Tango. The design itself looks a bit comical with Comic Sans used for the font. A wise designer and a few guys on twitter once told me “Comic Sans” are for n00bs when I had that in the Logo. ( you all know who you are )
PhoneArena has posted a rather dodgy looking photoshopped image calling it Windows Phone 8 developer build on a cyan Nokia Lumia 900 which seems to be missing the hardware buttons for some reason. We have generally stayed away from the will Windows Phone 8 upgrade come to current gen devices rumors ( except for the little incident with Cris ;) ). When I look at that image all I see a photoshopped image and a rather poor one at that.
Some new leaked images have come up for the not yet released Samsung Mandel which was rumored to have been released along with the HTC Titan 2 and Lumia 900. There are rumors this device was canceled in favour of focusing on the next gen windows phone device ..perhaps the Samsung Galaxy S3 inspired Windows Phone 8 device
Samsung Galaxy S3 is an android powerd handset that is said to run the new 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 Quad chipset, 4.7-inch HD display and a 12 MP camera , there are rumors goiung around which suggests that Samsung might be using this design to power the Samsung Focus S2 which will be a Windows Phone 8 device. According to WP-Life the device will sport the following specs
- Faster dual/quad core processor (depending on region)
- 4.7-inch HD display
- 12-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera

It looks like the uber successful game Temple Run , an endless-runner survival game might be heading to Windows Phone . While there is no time frame on the titles release the developers did make a promising statement about other platforms in a recent interview with pocketgamer
We’re also working on bringing Temple Run to every possible device. I think we’ve gotten emails from owners of every possible device wanting Temple Run. Android is first, then we’ll start tackling everything else.

Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh a.k.a Tango is the next update to hit windows phone , we have put up a post that outlines some changes coming to Windows Phone in Tango and it would seem there is more on the …
I am sure many of you will be wondering the same question Will Windows Phone 8 Apollo be available on Gen 1 ( the launch devices Samsung Omnia 7 , LG Optimus, etc ) or Gen 2 devices ( post Mango devices like the Lumia series , Samsung Focus S, etc ). We have seen indication that Apps will be backward compatible for most parts but nothing has been said about the OS coming to older devices.
With Apollo there are speculations that skype will be baked in to the OS which would require the use of Front Facing Camera for the video chat option, its also possible that some native apps will make use of the gyroscope which is missing in many of the Gen 1 devices. So will Microsoft block the updates on Gen1 devices to offer the customers a better experience than hit them with a feature not available message when they try to use some of the features that are not available on their devices coz of hardware limitations ?
BGR is reporting that one of their trusted source is claiming that the AT&T’s Nokia Lumia 900 launch has been delayed and is now expected to be released on April 22nd instead of the initial launch date of March 18th ( which they reported ). FYI AT&T has not official given out any release dates for the device. The price of $99.99 for a 2 year contract ( again something BGR reported ) seems to be unchanged.
