RSS readers are one of the basic app that any one will get on their new phone coz its one of the easiest way to keep track of the news from just about any sites you follow ( in case you don’t have it already here is our rss links ). RSS Central is one such app, press release below

v2.5 of the app was released to the Marketplace recently , this particular release primarily adding support for background images to make the whole app appear a little more vibrant, and also support for new languages. There are 10 languages supported so far in total now (English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian and Hungarian) making the app easy to use for Windows Phone users across the globe.

Other new features added over the last few months include background updating of RSS feeds, subscription groups to allow articles from different feeds to be read together, pinning of subscriptions and subscription groups to the start menu, live tiles, keyword highlighting to enable articles of particular interest to be found quickly and easily, Instapaper support, importing and exporting of subscription details using standard OPML files, and much more.

feed me a RSS reader has hit version 1.6 and have added some cool new features like youtube support within the app. Check out the developers walk-through video and press release below.

A free, ad supported version of feed me version 1.6 is now available on the marketplace. This version includes all of the features of the current paid version, but is restricted to four feeds for the live tile. If the advertising works out as expected, this limit will be increased in the next update.

Key Features:

  1. Live tile shows new article count (for up to 4 feeds)
  2. Add a YouTube feed. All the standard feeds are supported as well as user uploads and searches
  3. View YouTube videos embedded in an article or web page
  4. Watch HQ and HD YouTube videos over your 3G connection
  5. View or listen to podcasts and download them for offline access
  6. Listen to podcasts in the background while browsing other articles
