It doesn’t matter what country or region you’re from. Whether you own or follow Windows Phone you know Microsoft has an uphill battle to gain a legitimate mobile market share. While AT&T and WP seem to be a good fit here in the US, the US is going to be Microsoft’s toughest customer to win over and it’s not entirely Microsoft’s fault. While many countries are positively responding to an influx of new WP devices with WP slowly gaining in global market share, there is a good chance US will be the last country to reflect any WP growth and the last 3 months prove it.

Microsoft has previously announced that Windows Phone 7.5 will include companion support for its Xbox 360 console. The company now appears to be on the verge of bringing that support to the mass market. The recent launch of the HTC Radar saw the company demonstrate an individual using the Windows Phone device to control elements of an Xbox 360 game. Microsoft demonstrated similar integration last month at the company’s GameFest conference in Seattle. Here is a more recent update on that.
Turns out that the September 15 Mango release date was just a rumor and has been confirmed by Joe Belfiore in his recent tweet. GudenSoft’s RadarLove! is a simple radar imaging engine, which uses data from the National Weather Service RIDGE system. There are many applications out to notify us of weather conditions, but few actually show radar images. The ability to view these images can be very helpful in preparing for a coming thunderstorm. The app is still in early development, so this is a preview release. Test it out and give the developer some feedback.
Note: this will only work with US radar sites and it requires .NET CF 3.5
