What is new from the last version 6.33:

* The application is completely touch friendly
* In the folder view you are able to see three thumbnails of the pictures in the folder
* You can view the GPS position from the picture in google maps or using your browser
* You can add your actual GPS position to a picture
* Send to SMS, MMS, E-mail
* Upload to Flickr, Facebook, Picassa, Twitter
* Select album where to upload, add comment and GPS position
* Edit Mode in view
* Contrast and Gamma adjusment
* Adding Notes from a dialog
* View Notes and GPS from Exif (or add to Exif if not present)

Have you read our quick review for the previous release of Resco Photo Viewer Alpha @BestWindowsMobileApps.com? The updated Resco Photo Viewer has been a hit among Windows Mobile circles, so we thought we would keep you updated on the progress before the app goes commercial. Remember, the Alpha is free for all. Today, Resco has removed the original Alpha and replaced it with Alpha 2. This is the last Alpha release before the Beta next week.

Resco PhotoViewer Alpha

Resco puts out some nice software like their file explorer, contact manager and pocket radio. One of their apps, in dire need of an overhaul, has been updated and is in the Alpha stages prior to official release. Please note that Resco Photo Viewer is a commercial application and this is just a preview of it. See new features and try it out after the break.

Here is Resco’s statement:

“For everyone that desperately awaits the release of the new version of the Photo Viewer, we have prepared an Alpha version. This version was not tested properly so far, so some crucial bugs might appear but even though this version seems to be pretty stable in normal use. Of course not all features are implemented so far but the most prior functions are. We will appreciate some bug reports if you will encounter some, but please don’t be too critical, it is only an Alpha version after all.”

Thanks to darkchmatak, we have the Omnia II photo album available for the rest of us.

Features:

- view all your photos
- optional slideshow (set duration, transitions, moving direction)
- zoom in/out
- swipe left/right to change photos
- manage photos

Installation:

- unzip to a new folder on device/storage
- run “PhotoAlbum.exe”
- have fun with new Photo Album

Note: Music button (in slideshow) does not work
