Its rumored that another company Lenovo may become allies with the Microsoft corporation and sell phones with Windows Phone 7 on it. Heres another one for the road – literally! One of the developers SharpGIS using the new development toolkit has discovered this feature and was kind enough to post this video. The movement is jerky because the developer had to feed in GPS coordinates in the absence of actual GPS. It looks like you would need to tap on the screen to recalculate the route. Overall looks like Windows Phone users have some more items to cheer about.
Heres another slick video showing the Bing vision capabilities of the Mango update. Notice how fast the phone picks up the item and the fantastic integration with other shopping platforms within the phone. This is good stuff!
There have been a few sightings of a new logo for the Windows Phone at the Mango event. This is more in tune with their SQUAREish metro UI and we feel its apt that they (possibly) have changed it. What do you folks think? We don’t really feel this will warrant a ‘re-branding’ exercise, since after all, the logo still remains the same.
Mashable recently posted an article on cloudscapes pictures that were taken using the iPhone. Now considering that Windows Phone is THE camera-centric phone with the dedicated buttons et al, we dare say we should be able to do better. Can our readers please post us interesting pictures that they took using their WP7 devices so that we can display the camera prowess of our devices (and our readers :)!)?.
