fixOperaFlashis a simple pocket pc software that enables windows mobile users to enable Flash 9 compatibility ( but some ActionScript 3.0 scripts are not supported. It will automatically install and configure everything you need to run your Opera with Flash support.

Hate it when some website block you out and feed their content only to iPhone users ? Well here is a something to even out the odds. This is all accomplished via cabs, linked in your start menu, in a folder called “Opera Personality Switcher.” It works more or less the way AT&T’s Enable/Disable proxy cabs did. This was tested by the developer on a newish build of Opera 9.7, but may work on more recent versions of 9.5 as well. This is a handy little pocket pc software.

1) OPS iPhone - No proxy, user agent set to match mobile Safari’s
2) OPS Opera Mobile Standard - No proxy, user agent set to Opera’s default
3) OPS Opera Mobile Standard 2 – No proxy, user agent set to “HTC-P4600/1.2 Opera/9.50 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en)” — which is the standard for a Fuze (and for a Touch Pro?)
4) OPS AT&T Fuze- Media Net’s proxy (wireless.cingular.com), user agent set like on Standard 2
5) OPS Firefox- Media Net’s proxy (wireless.cingular.com), user agent set like Firefox 3.5 on Windows, for a full desktop experience.

According to a blog entry from Opera , The next generation in mobile browsing which was announced @ the new Opera next page is related to Opera Mini 5. No other details are revealed as of now. I am sure we will be learning more about this in the coming days.

Using WiFi when browsing the net definitely makes the mobile browsing experience more enjoyable. Unfortunately, you have to take several steps to turn on WiFi, launch the browser and then turn WiFi off afterward. SmartLauncher, created by elmalote, helps cut out the fuss by doing all this for you. The app is in the beta phase, so the developer is still trying to find a way to implement compatibility with all devices.

Note: This app was created for the Touch Diamond 2. To inquire about its compatibility with other devices, please visit the developer’s forum.

What does it do:

- Activates WiFi & connects to preferred access point
- Shows connection strength, IP, SSID name and authentication mode
- Able to launch Opera browser with the same button that enables WiFi

Opera announced its pathbreaking Turbo Technology fitted release version 9.7 last week. Although new in many aspects nevertheless it still has problem as far as changing its skin & color is concern.

Thanks to a smart geek at XDA Papo, we could able get a bit of change as far as the color of Opera is concern.

Another Opera built has been released @ xda-dev by phouki , In this version Homepage set to : google.com/m. Landscape mode now useable with keyboard with auto full screen on. These will install to main memory on device and the Cache Directory is set to \Storage Card\Application Data\Opera9. Language can be by changed by editing opera.ini in the \Windows\Opera9 folder.
