PeekPocket is an easy to use, hassle-free WiFi scanner application for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices. There is no cab file to install, all you need to do is copy one file to your device and start scanning.

Don’t forget to turn your WLAN on before you try. You will hear a sound when an AP ( Access Point ) is found - there are different sounds for open & secure network. Tap AP names to access graph & large mode. Use options to select filters/language etc. Upon exit, you will find a text file called PeekPocket.txt. It’s a tabbed text document with saved AP infos. Simply open with Word Mobile, select all, then copy to Excel and you have a nice scrollable formatted list.

StylusLock v1.1 - another way to lock your Pocket PC

After Koushik Dutta posted the Stylus Sensor API new applications exploiting these features were going to surface @ xda-dev it was just a matter of time and here is one of the first Stylus Sensor application by ZuinigeRijder. Its a lock / unlock utility for devices like HTC Touch Pro / Diamond. Its got a bit of a learning curve than the other lock application.

How to use:
* Choose your “stylus lock mode”, by using the method above
- e.g. if you want to put the TD in your pocket, enable “stylus lock mode”
- e.g. if you have your TD lying on the table, disable “stylus lock mode”
- e.g. you can also use always the “stylus lock mode” when your are fine to take out the stylus for unlocking (you do not need to operate the Power button anymore)

Diamond Cubes - Accelerometer Dice throwing game


Diamond Cube functions using the accelerometer in the HTC Touch Diamond or Pro, it responds to your shaking of the device once the application is launched. Its a little bit rusty but heys this is only its first version and the developer has made it open source so anyone can build on it.

PocketGravity - physics engine accelerometer game

Create boxes, circles, join them together and watch the scene come to life its pretty cool , its the 1st physics game for the PPC that i have got on my PPC. Initial release was around march 08, this is a great way to pass time on the boring train rides back home from work. Now it has been modified to work with accelerometer enabled devices.

SensorLock 0.2 - Lock / Unlock utility using the Accelerometer

SensorLock is a program designed for the HTC Touch Diamond (and will probably work on the HTC Touch Pro too).

SensorLock allows you to lock the device’s screen and buttons, thereby preventing random button and screen presses while the device is in your pocket.

Locking and unlocking is simply done by rotating the device around its longest axis (clockwise for locking and counter-clockwise for unlocking) and can be done in any program (Media Player, TomTom etc) without disrupting normal device operation.
