Trapster beta on WP7
I am one happy bunny, Trapster the hugely popular speed trap sharing system and navigation aid is on its way to our beloved OS, I opened a thread and it was merged with this thread on their forums soon after I obtained my Samsung Omnia 7 back in March 2011. I was a heavy user of the Symbian version on my Nokia Navigator 6710 and I wanted to use it on my new Samsung Windows Phone, however they only replied
‘wait and see’
and
‘We are working on it, but don’t have any dates yet. No worries, it will come!’

One thing which you need currently for any navigation app on mostly every platform is a data connection on top of a gps receiver to pin point your current location and map your route using step by step downloading of the maps. Gone are the good old days of apps like TomTom and iGO on Windows Mobile which would let users have the full maps of their state or county downloaded and stored on the local drive. Well Nokia seems to not like it and wishes to change things a little.

T-Mobile Nokia Windows Phone Poster
Nokia’s Windows Phones are all set to be unveiled and released next month in the annual Nokia event and here is a possible feature which we might see in the upcoming release. Nokia appears to be preparing to unveil its own voice-navigation software in Windows Phone which will feature 3D maps !
