SuperMusic is an app that claims to ” enables users to download Free and Legal Music directly to their phone. ” and I can tell you that it works and I could download music from various websites on to my phone with just a few clicks BUT I am not so sure about the FREE and LEGAL part of it. SuperMusic in essence is an app that allows you to download music off the internet ( from various sites that share music ) in some cases it is ringtones and in other you get full music files.

Something that started as a homebrew app Walkman7 has now been accepted by the WP7 Marketplace. Developed by XDA member Marvin_S this app is a music player that allows you to search for and play music , you can create a playlist and even download the music.

WP7 App Description

Walkman7 provides you with free access to a rich database of music. Search for the latest songs, discover new artists and create playlists on the go. The songs in the playlist will be streamed and can be downloaded for offline playback.

Walkman7 features a beautiful designed metro-style UI with Icons adapting to the accent colours of your phone. The app is quick, remembers your last search and playlist, can run under the lockscreen to quickly find and keep playing the music you want wherever you go.

Show Seek is a Windows Phone 7 App that allows users to find concerts and shows near them using the inbult GPS on Windows Phone 7. Press release below

Show Seek is a music centric application focusing on finding concerts, shows and dancing bears. Show Seek uses Songkick, Last.FM, Bands in Town and EventBrite to locate music around using your phone. Show Seek allows you to add a username from Songkick to get access to your personalized calendar. Show Seek also saves your searches, so you don’t have to be online to view you last calendar.

Future releases might include Bugfixes and Features like:
-Increase Search results (Limited to 50 per service now)
-LastFM suggestions (Requires last.fm account)
-Better Bing Maps API results (for searching in the ocean maybe)
-Saved Searches (Favorite searches, not offline support)
-Links to event pages on each service
-More details about the event, such as maps, directions or pictures

Indie Artist Song finder on WP7 – video demo

During GDGT Seattle, Microsoft is giving away Windows Phone 7 handsets. That was not a typo they are in fact giving away WP7 Developer handsets. The 1st one went to a developer who is building a WP7 client ( he is also working on an Android client ) that will allow users to discover and stream Indie Music. Check out the video for more info.

The client looks quite basic and the developer claims to have made the app in a few hrs time.
