Twolf has created a simple sinewave synthesizer triggered by an ordinary 12×9 step sequencer. Just click on different bubbles to make sound patterns that repeat over and over. It can be fun to use when you’re bored. It was created to emulate ToneMatrix, which can be played on your computer.

How it works:

- Just click or drag the finger to use.
- Left/right/up/down to clear the screen.
- Enter to exit.

Grooveshark mobile, created by nilezon, is an application able to stream any song from Grooveshark. The application is still full of bugs, so it should be considered more of a proof-of-concept at the moment.

UPDATE 29/9:

Known bugs:

* BASS (the audio player) sometimes gives you a message box saying that the playback failed. Wait a few seconds and try again.
* The spinning umbrella gets stuck on the result list (scroll a little to remove it).

S2P, an iPhone like music player, has been updated with a new feature called On-The-Go playlists. It lets you edit your favorite music to be played back. See more changes below.

v0.73 beta brings:

- temporarily disabled the “Album View”.

- added option “PowerTweak” to allow non-interrupt music playback even when power button is pressed.

Grooveshark Mobile, created by Nilezon, streams music from Grooveshark’s online music streaming service. It is still very early in development which is why it’s still coined with the term Alpha. It’s considered a proof of concept because there are some big bugs with the app, but you can still demo the music playing capabilities.

Known bugs:

* BASS (the audio player) will fatally crash after you’ve played some songs. This is a major bug.
* Bad error handling…
* If you click on a new song during playback the play/pause button might end up in the wrong mode.

Touch the music, created by Arlanthir and his team, is a Guitar Hero clone for Windows Mobile. The previous release was just a preview and only let you play an intro. Arlanthir has just released the latest version which lets you play an entire song and has very polished graphics. It’s available for the most common resolutions: VGA, WVGA, QVGA, WQVGA.

* New scoring method
* Vibration Feedback
* FIX: Experimental bugfix for when receiving messages and calls, etc. The program should now behave fine when losing focus.

1.fm Radio is a popular service for streaming radio. You can use commercial software to stream the music, but there’s no free solution. Popdog54 has created a html file with 1.fm shortcuts for easy access. The cab file installs the .html file along with a shortcut. Clicking the shortcut should open your default browser. Selecting your station of choice should open the music stream in your default media player.
