It looks like HTC’s movie streaming service HTC Watch hasbeen introduced in to the marketplace and users are able to download this app right now. But according to users who have tested it, the app seems to offer only 2 trailers at the moment ( “eat pray love” and “grown ups” ) and NO movies are available for rent / purchase, hopefully that is just a temp issue. The app is also limited to US customers ( we are not sure if this will change over time ) .
LoveFilm is a British company that offers online video rental (by-post) including DVD-Video, Blu-ray, and video game console Disc, on-demand video streaming of movies in European counties like UK and Germany. Instead of that I could have said something like its like the Netflix of Europe ;). This is not an Official LoveFilm App but Lawrence Gripper felt he needed an app for LoveFilm and My LoveFilm was developed for WP7. My LoveFilm lets you browse your film queues, search for films, change priorities on titles, view similar films, view recommendations, view rented titles, view rated titles, and add/remove titles from your queues. It also has a list of the most recent DVD releases. Currently supports TV and film rentals too.

A while ago we told you guys about Captain Movie , now the developers have informed us that the app is available for download from the WP7 Marketplace. Captian Movie is a wrapper application for various online movie databases(IMDb(en,de), TMDb(en), OFDb(de), Cineasten(de), moviepilot(de)). Captain Movie lets you access movies and people on the databases through an intuitive interface, quickly and easily. This application has no affiliations with the databases. It’s Star Wars, so, it’s automatically awesome for Star Wars fans and if you dont like star wars you would stay away from anything star wars related. Its a very simple app, there are 12 characters from the star wars universe and if you click on an icon you will hear a quote from the character. There is 3 sounds for each character and 4 for Vader. ( why ? coz he is special .. lol )
Captain Movie is a wp7 app that can hook in to many different movie community database to pull up info about a movie. The app supports a lot of German movie database ( ofdb.de, MoviePilot, Cineasten ) along with IMDB and TMDb. Unfortunately I didn’t see support for trailers in the video demo for the app. Anyhoo if you are a movie buff then you might want to check out that app

With Personal Video Database you can catalog your movie collection fast and easy. Now thanks to Obelix_A from xda-developers we have a windows mobile client. It was recently updated to version 2.1
How it works
First of all, you have to get PVD and enter your movies. After that, make a XML export. This writes a file containing the movie information and a directory containing the pictures. Take both and copy them onto your device. I recommend to copy them onto the SD card in a sub directory PVD.
Download mobilePVD and install it on your device. When starting, you will have to select the XML file by clicking Menu->Open DB. Your can select other languages and other skins.
When going to a sublist in mobilePVD (i.e. viewing the movie details or selecting directories) and you want to get back, just slide with your finger over the list from left to right…
