According to the Microsoft PR man Microsoft Tag : “It’s the hyperlink in the physical world” . It was Microsoft’s take on the QRCode and was officially announced at CES 2009. We though of implementing it on the site a while back instead of the QRcode ( that we currently use ) may be if it becomes popular over time we might go back to it.
Using LunaTagGen for Mobile and Microsoft Tag reader, you can instantly generate a Microsoft Tag on your phone and allow someone to scan that Tag which produces the same information on their device. A great way to copy contacts from one device to another without having to email or figure out a cryptic SMS message.
