ifonz

There have been plethora of attempts from companies selling windows mobile devices to change its today screen. Whether it is HTC’s Touch Flo 2d or 3d, or Samsung’s Touch Wiz. All have tried their best to give a new look to the first thing any pocketpc user see on the screen.

Ifonz is another attempt at making this old screen ready for next generation pocket pc’s.

iFonz 2 is a new pocket pc freeware that replaces the today screen with a whole new interface, its also got the iphone app launcher interface for Windows Mobile, with a lots of customization and a fully graphical design and animations for Windows Mobile 5/6 completely coded in .NET.

Installation
- Uninstall older version
- Extract ZIP in any folder and start iFonz.exe
P.S.
The program use Calibri.ttf and install it automatically at start, but if it can’t find \Windows\Fonts it start with Arial font.
For Install Calibri font go to Utils folder in iFonz directory and copy Calibry.dat in \Windows\Fonts folder and rename it in Calibri.ttf.

Features:
- For all customizations read the “Options.txt” in iFonz directory
- For now the program work only in Portrait mode
- In Programs page the back wallpaper can’t set for now, for more speedly animations, if i find a good code for this i add wallpaper
- I have deleted the TaskBar in top for a better usage of Windows Mobile
- If you click on Day, Clock or Hour the program open Clock Settings of Windows Mobile
- If you click on Operator name or Signal Bar the program open Operator settings of Windows Mobile
- If you click on Battery Bar the program open Battery settings of Windows Mobile
- If from Home page you slide from right to left you open Programs page
- The Calendar icon in homepage notify the appointments that you have in the day and in the next day
- If you want back in Serch files list you can click on address in bottom and return to the back directory
- For lock device and show a big image of caller whe you receive a call use S2U2 program (The best ever from A_C)

Requirements

– Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 5 or 6
- Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1

Installation

– Extract CAB and install on Pocket PC
- Soft Reset Pocket PC

How to

– To open General Settings Tap and Hold on background
- To open Icon Settings Tap and Hold on desired icon
- To enable/disable Windows Startup open General Settings and check/uncheck the option
- To save/load Themes and settings Tap and Hold on Battery and click on Themes->Load/Save and choose the file
- To minimize Tap and Hold on Battery in the main screen and click on minimize
- To view all Pocket PC status info Tap and Hold on Battery in the main screen and go to Status menu
- To view AM/PM hour go to Regional Settings in your pocket pc and set correctly your Timezone and Time settings
- To exit click on battery in the main screen
- To add shortcut to a folder in the command line use “\windows\fexplore.exe” and in the argument set the folder path
- To add shortcut to a midlet java in the command line use “[the path of your java manager]” and in the argument set the parameter of your java application (Es: Command: “\windows\jmm.exe” Arguments:”-r”Gmail”,”Google”,”Gmail”)
- To add shortcut to an internet address write in command line the internet address
- If iFonz close when hit the “Red Button” after a call, assign a specific button of your PPC for restart it, set it in PPC settings
- If your Pocket PC is old or slow go to General Settings and disable all Special Effects and set Animation to “Nothing”
- If you do a lot of changes in General Settings and iFonz become slow, restart it
- For lock device and show a big image of caller whe you receive a call use S2U2 program (The best ever from A_C)

Change Log from iFonz 0.8.8

- Use regional settings for Clock hour (AM/PM or not)
- Fade In and Fade Out new special effect (Very interesting)
- Now Top Bar icons are set in correctly position
- Now you can go to the first page from the last and vice-versa
- If the program is minimized by “Red button” or not by a user action the iFonz automatically turn back on top
- Add setting to Request the exit
- Add setting for use Pushed icons, for increase the speed of shortcut for some users
- Start shortcut program speed improvements
- Add System Info (Memory space free, ecc..) in Battery menu
- Add View Welcome animation in Battery menu
- Add new Sets of options in General Settings called “Moves Gestures”
- Now you can open general settings from Right border to Left with a new animation
- Now you can do the minimize with touchscreen from Up border to down with slide animation
- Add animation when click an icon editable on icon type
- Now the Center D-Pad when pressed back to first page
- Redraw some graphics icons
- Add new slide animation on opening of Settings and Icon Settings and other forms
- Add my little utility to rotate a screen in the Utils folder
- Add single and total number of Messages to view in notification ballon (SMS, MMS, Email, Voicemail) in Icons types
- Set which notification ballon you want view in General Settings
- Add new Text File with all shortcuts tha you can use with iFonz
- Add a range of days to view calendar appointments in settings
- Start restyling Settings forms
