The same old story we have seen over and over is back again this time in the form of Amazon’s Top Rated and Best Sellers pages. When it comes to user satisfaction Windows Phone seems to be on top almost every time. The top blokes at Microsoft keeps reminding us of it from time to time. When you look at the Top Rated in Cell Phones With Service Plans on Amazon ( click ) 4 of the top 5 spots out of which the top 3 stops are Windows Phones !! HTC Titan, HTC Trophy and Samsung Focus S
Don Reisinger who I think, clearly had no idea was he was taking about has put up a list of Smartphones that he claims to be the 10 Worst Smartphones of 2011. His explanation as to why these were were put in to the worst 10 was not so satisfactory for me
For the HTC Trophy he claimed :
The HTC Trophy is yet another Windows Phone 7-based device that got lost in the shuffle this year. Was it the device’s operating system, which disappointed consumers? Was it the device’s derivative design? Or was it because it came with only 16GB of internal memory? Probably all of those things turned off smartphone buyers.
Oh yeah the title is no typo, AmazonWireless will give you $24.99 ( in the form of a gift card ) if you buy a Verizon HTC Trophy !! If you do a bit of online shopping , super-duper-crazy deals are nothing new especially on Amazon.com and chances are you would have come across some great deals for $0.01, now AmazonWireless is offering the the HTC Trophy on Verizon for $0.01. On top of that they have a FREE Two-Day Shipping and if you get one before June 30, 2011, you will also get a $25 Amazon.com Gift Card. I dont think this is a deal that will come by every so often and if you are looking to pick up a Windows Phone this might be a great time to do so.
NOTE : I don’t think I have to specify this but its US only and might not be available in all region. The description says the device has an HDMI port , I don’t think that is true ( not from what I have heard or seen ).
Here is a cool video detailing the voyage that an HTC Trophy Phone took into the stratosphere. It was attached to a weather balloon and is a great example of the durability of the device. Imagine a phone surviving -58C (-72F) and living..err.. working to tell the tale. The ability to merge micro-processing, cloud computing (via Azure) and GPS tracking has become so much more accessible than a few years ago!
