Pocket to Picture is a handy feature on WP7 devices. You can click on the camera button to take photos even if you’ve locked your phone. There’s no need to unlock the device, enter the passcode, or launching the camera app. If the device is in your pocket / purse the feature is disabled. Check this WP7 Camera features Video to learn more. Now thanks to the effort of MilaCzeque from xda-dev, HD2 users can enjoy this feature :)

This little application starts phone’s camera when user press home button when the phone is locked. ( Only works with original non-customized lockscreen ). It is aware of proximity sensor status, so it won’t start camera in your pocket. Your HD2 has to be locked for this app to work. If the HTC HD2 display is switched off and your device is locked you have to click the Home button twice.

T-mobile HD2 is the most powerful Windows phone in the market. Windows Mobile is not the best of platform to play mobile games on, if you have played games on the iPhone then you will know what I am talking about, but there are a few games that you can find for Windows Mobile that will surprise you, but the thing is not every one know about these great games so today we try to figure out what they are. Some of the ones we came across will be listed here , there will be more out there so if you know some good games for the HD2 , plz let us know via the comments.

We have not tested all of these on the T-mobile HD2 but it should run on it, try the demo or ask the developer before buying them

Here are a few of the best games for T-mobile HD2

1. Platinum Roulette - Get the fun of the Vegas strip in the palm of your hand with your Windows Phone. Platinum Roulette brings Roulette, one of the most popular casino games, to the windows mobile. Place your bets, spin the wheel and count your winnings or lose everything.

2. Experiment 13, hacked from the Xperia X2 – Unlike many games we see for Windows Mobile, this one has good graphics and is fun at the same time. As far as puzzle games go, it almost makes you feel like you’re playing on a handheld gaming console, not a mobile phone. The game was exclusively released with the X2, but it can also be played on other Windows Mobile devices

LeoCpuSpeed v3 is an app that lets you control cpu speed & overclock your HTC HD2

Features
– Updates CPU speed every half second (calculated from the processor registered directly! not from some driver)
– Can stress the CPU to show you that it goes up to 998mhz when it is at 768mhz
– Disable autoscaling so that you can control the speed yourself
– Select the speed you want by moving the slider or pressing 768/998 presets
– Automatically disable autoscaling and set speed at boot (via menu)
– Overclocking

Notes on auto-apply speed at startup
1) Disable autoscaling
2) Select the cpu speed you want
3) Menu > Apply speed at boot

Notes on overclocking
1) Obviously overclocking is completely at your own risk, as you could harm your device. Luckily, in most cases, your device will just lock up and you’ll need to restart your device (remove battery, re-insert and turn on again).
2) The green buttons were the overclock settings that have been succesful 9 out of 10 times. The orange speeds have been succesful like 5 out of 10 times. The red speeds have never worked for me yet.
3) The higher the speed, the more unstable. This is mainly because I don’t have a way to increase voltage of the core.
4) Overclocking only works on AC power! When on battery power, the overclock will work but will be undone within 500 milliseconds by the OS. Something within the OS, or a driver, or the radio rom, enforces the proper CPU speed every 500ms.

“We’ve received many questions about the upgradability of HTC HD2 and we currently do not have plans to update the HTC HD2 to Windows Phone 7 Series”, Ran told us, hoping to draw a line in the sand over the will they or won’t they question, before going on to say.

“For Windows Phone 7 Series we are enforcing a strict set of hardware requirements to ensure a consistently great experience for end-users and developers…we cannot confirm that Windows Mobile 6.5 phones that satisfy those requirements will be upgradeable”.

So It looks like no Windows Mobile 6.5 device will be upgradable to Windows Phone 7. So is it a good thing ? will such strict hardware specification reduce the fragmentation issue and provide a better opportunity for developers and a better experience for consumers ?

You got to be kidding me.. I can understand if there were a hardware limitation , I do get it 5 buttons instead of three is a hardware change but can that seriously be considered as a huge difference ?

UPDATE : There is also the possibility of a graphics chip that is missing in the HD2, which sounds like a fair reason to deny the upgrade.

Well I don’t know about the rest of you but I will NOT be upgrading to any WM6.5 devices .. What about you ?
